Your professional partner in fertility and wellness

Nicole has helped countless patients overcome challenges related to conception. One notable case involved providing therapy to a post-term pregnant woman who experienced a smooth and natural delivery with Nicole’s care. Over three months of treatment, one patient’s normal sperm count increased to 4.4%, leading to a successful pregnancy.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine that has been practised for over 2,000 years. It is based on the belief that vital energy, called Qi, flows through the body. When Qi is blocked or unbalanced, it can lead to pain, illness and other health problems. Acupuncture helps restore the flow of Qi by stimulating specific points on the body with fine needles.

How does acupuncture work?

Acupuncture works by stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities. When the needles are inserted into specific points on the body, they send signals to the brain and nervous system. This can help to release endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers, and reduce inflammation. Acupuncture can also help balance the body’s energy, which can lead to various health benefits.

Our acupuncture process

1. Consultation and diagnosis

Our acupuncture process begins with a thorough assessment of your body’s harmony. Our skilled acupuncturist will use different subtle diagnostic techniques, including pulse reading, tongue examination and identifying areas of tension and discomfort.

We will also ask about your symptoms, overall health, diet and lifestyle. This information helps us understand your condition and develop a personalised treatment plan aligned with traditional Chinese medicine principles. Please be sure to mention any other ongoing treatments or prescribed medications that you are taking.

2. Treatment

Once we have established a diagnosis, our acupuncturists will create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs and preferences. This acupuncture treatment plan may include lifestyle and dietary recommendations.

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective in addressing a range of conditions, including:

  • Chronic aches and pains
  • Post-operative pain
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Lower back pain
  • Bladder problems
  • Sleep disorders (insomnia)
  • Obesity
  • Mood disorders (stress, anxiety and depression)
  • Arthritis
  • Menopause

3. Post-treatment care

After your acupuncture session, you may feel a sense of calm and relaxation, possibly even mild drowsiness. It is advisable to avoid strenuous physical activity and instead take a well-deserved rest.

It is important to follow the instructions of your acupuncturist to get the most out of your acupuncture treatment. This may include avoiding certain foods, drinks or activities.
